Release Day for The Club and a contest!
Sharon on the steps of White's gentlemen's club

Sharon on the steps of White's gentlemen's club

This is a thrilling day for me. Today my first mass market historical romance, The Club, hits bookstore shelves. I’m working hard on my second Dell book, The Last Seduction, and have popped my head up from the keyboard to celebrate the day. Right now I’m doing revisions, and I’ll be blogging here next week on the agony of ecstasy of rethinking and revamping a story.

Here’s what reviewers have said about The Club:

“Page (Black Silk) delivers a winner with this sensuous and captivating erotic Regency romance…This romantic whodunit is sizzling with chemistry and will keep readers hungrily turning pages.” —Publishers Weekly Starred Review!

TOP PICK! “Reader, be deliciously warned: You’ll need a fan or asbestos gloves to keep cool while devouring Page’s heated tale. Not only is the sexual tension powerful and the many love scenes hotter than hot (with BDSM), the mystery and growing romance will keep you riveted too.” —Romantic Times BOOKreviews

5/5 and A Reviewer Top Pick! “The pages positively sizzled when these two got together, and it wasn’t just because of their desire, they also had a wonderfully snappy dialog outside of the bedroom. This was a book I found difficult to put down. Even with the possibility of burns, as the intensity of their feelings rose not only the room temperature but also the heat of the book, nearly causing my fingers to singe from holding on and refusing to let go.” —Night Owl Romance

“THE CLUB has everything you are looking for in a seductive historical romance; intrigue, love, honor and great characters. Definitely a great read.” —Fresh Fiction

Quickie Contest Alert: If you see The Club in stores over the next week, please let me know on the blog here, and you’ll have a chance to win the book of your choice from my backlist.

Also, next week I’ll be guest blogging at Lust In Time. Stay tuned for a link and more info on upcoming guest blogs.

I was in London in the fall, and got the chance to have my picture taken on the steps of White’s (before the doorman told me no pictures are allowed up at the door).

The Club – Reviews!

I’ve received some exciting reviews for The Club and wanted to post them here before I have my amazing web designer put them on the site:

Top Pick! “Reader, be deliciously warned: You’ll need a fan or asbestos gloves to keep cool while devouring Page’s heated tale. Not only is the sexual tension powerful and the many love scenes hotter than hot…the mystery and growing romance will keep you riveted too.” —Romantic Times BOOKreviews

A K.I.S.S. Award from Romantic Times for The Club’s hero, Christian Sutcliffe, Lord Wickham. “Let Sharon Page’s “Lord Wicked,” Christian Sutcliffe, take you to The Club for a night you’ll never forget.”

5/5 and a Reviewers’ Top Pick! “The pages positively sizzled when these two got together, and it wasn’t just because of their desire, they also had a wonderfully snappy dialog outside of the bedroom. This was a book I found difficult to put down.” —Night Owl Romance

“THE CLUB has everything you are looking for in a seductive historical romance; intrigue, love, honor and great characters. Definitely a great read.” —Fresh Fiction

“This book will be on sale as from February 24th, 2009 and has our utmost recommendation…an original and consistent historical romance that was both sensual and refreshing. The love scenes are a bold a mix of tenderness, discovery and passion. Sensuality is embedded into the romance. It’s enthralling without being too explicit or graphic.

Sharon Page’s first mass market novel offers a historical treat with a thrilling mystery that needs to be solved and a well-developed romance that is rich in detail and background. She found the perfect way to create a solid, sensual and captivating historical tale of love and suspense. I for one am ready for her next mass market paperback.” —Realms on Our Bookshelves
